Chance of double-dip recession? 10/08/2010
Economics reporter Sudeep Reddy answered this question from The Wall Street Journal October 8th 2010 Friday. There are some pretty interesting questions on the jobs, economy, hiring, unemployment, etc. in the United States of America. Question(Myself): Is there any chance of double dip recession? Sudeep Reddy: Hi Arjun. The fact that we're even talking about the possibility of a double-dip recession indicates there's a chance of it. Right now it's not a likely scenario, barring some kind of outside shock (a new round of trouble in the global financial system or some geopolitical event). But we're looking at a period of painfully slow growth for the next year. If the US economy expands even at just 2% to 3%, that's not enough to bring the unemployment rate down.
