As said by me in the previous posts that Twitter became popular in India, today it thought a lesson for the politicians to be true. Mr. Shashi Tharoor, Union Minister of state for External Affairs, Government of India, resigned from the ministry after his allegations of misusing the power is made on him. He is the first Indian politician to tweet his personals and political matters on Twitter and broke the silence. He is controversial all the time with his tweets and also brought headaches to the government. The allegations made on him by Mr. Lalith Modi, Chief of Indian Premier League came initially on Twitter. Finally Twitter sealed the Ministry of Mr. Tharoor. ![]() © Twitter Inc Twitter, the famous name for micro blogging is recently gaining the hearts of Indians. As 3-G services began in India by selling spectrum to the cellular companies by the government, the celebrities started to use twitter on mobiles to connect with their fans. The Indian movie stars, politicians, sport champions, became addicted to using Twitter, and their fans ran mad by becoming their followers and re-tweeting the messages. Facebook took much time to steal the hearts of Indians rather than Twitter. It also becomes a good tool for all the promotions of products, events. Funny conversations, jokes, teasing between celebrities are becoming the news for the websites and newspapers. MTV is the largest followed brand in India on Twitter and Sharuk Khan is on top with more followers. I say that Twitter is successful due to its short and easy way of communication. No complex controls like sending a request and accepting a request are used. Just follow whomever you like in this world. | Scribblings
