The world is the eye witness for subsequent milestones of the digital revolution. E-Commerce is slowly leaning towards the products and services that are being transacted over the internet. The usage of internet has become a positive advantage for the e-commerce in the recent years. India, with its manual power and software reputation, stands ahead in the competition among all the Third World nations. The developing countries’ services are extensively being used by the advanced nations as the potential fields offering low-priced and efficient e-commerce services. These nations must concentrate on the interconnection of networks within the country and outside the country. They should develop the information infrastructures for the growth of online internet businesses and the creation of new software jobs. Only 20 percent of the companies in developing nations are currently implementing e-commerce, and CEO’s of all multi-national companies rated e-commerce as crucial for their business strategy and growth.

Electronic Commerce is allowing the Indian companies to enter the international market. The lack of technology consciousness like the short and long term advantages, and the nonexistence of a regulatory structure are reducing the degree of technological development in India. E-Commerce is becoming a powerful tool through which anybody can sell their products worldwide and this can in turn, boost the economy. Improvement of the infrastructure of the country provides the job opportunities for the millions of people. This breaks the long-standing tradition of barriers in the developing countries. There are many advantages for the companies in the developed countries such as cheap labor and low investment costs.

The government organizations of the developing countries must focus on these long term issues like infrastructure to compete with rest of the world. By allocating sufficient funds for the future action plan in the fields of telecommunications and broadband infrastructure for rural areas can give life to the e-commerce. In the long-run, this provides many benefits like increase in per capita income. E-Commerce gives a breakthrough to the small and medium companies in developing countries to show their potentiality worldwide and therefore contribute more actively in such e-commerce projects. The countries like India has a wide range of traditional segments such as wooden works, textiles, handicrafts , crafts, art, gold works, herbal medication, etc. which had unsuccessful experiences in the earlier periods in accessing the international markets due to their deficiency in marketing. If the proper marketing techniques are adopted for these traditional goods, a new era would begin in the trade history of India.

Economics reporter Sudeep Reddy answered this question from The Wall Street Journal October 8th 2010 Friday. There are some pretty interesting questions on the jobs, economy, hiring, unemployment, etc. in the United States of America.

Question(Myself): Is there any chance of double dip recession?

Sudeep Reddy: Hi Arjun. The fact that we're even talking about the possibility of a double-dip recession indicates there's a chance of it. Right now it's not a likely scenario, barring some kind of outside shock (a new round of trouble in the global financial system or some geopolitical event). But we're looking at a period of painfully slow growth for the next year. If the US economy expands even at just 2% to 3%, that's not enough to bring the unemployment rate down.

“Bom sabado” is a different type of worm spread on Orkut, a popular social networking website. It is owned by Google Inc. “Bom Sabado” means Good Saturday in Portuguese language. Orkut is the primary social networking website in Brazil and India. This worm infects the profile of the Orkut users who receives the “Bom sabado” message (commonly called as scrap in Orkut language). This worm came out due to the Cross site scripting (XSS) in the website applications. This hit the majority of the Orkut profiles on September 25th 2010. Google asked the Orkut users to say away from it until the engineers fix it. The worms come and hit your friend’s profiles without your knowledge. The settings of the person including the cookies are tracked and changed. It allows the people to join the unwanted communities created by the other users. These worms are developed to hack or steal the credentials of the people using the social networking sites. The Cross site scripting allows attackers to evade client-side safety mechanisms and imposed malicious scripts into the webpages. It is also called the code injection. The user creates the scripts in his known technology and injects to the popular websites. Beware of the unauthorized websites, links that come to you. Clear all the cookies in the regular intervals. The gaming industry is shaping itself from wireless devices to device less. Everyone is fond of games, especially computer games. The computer era changed the complete gaming definition from the board games to device less. In my childhood, there are only a few computer games like Pac-man, Mario, Contra, Road rash, etc. I think that is the beginning of the game market. There are few computer gaming centers which offer games for a buck. Later the TV videogames and handheld videogames became craze for the young children. They too did well. In the 2000’s the gaming industry changed with the graphics, designs that are developed with new software’s. Many interactive games came in to market that run on the PC. After a few years, LCD big flat screens came into market, which changed the complete gaming experience. The companies like Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft developed their own gaming devices. Sony named them as Play stations, Nintendo named as Wii, and Microsoft named as Xbox. Names are different but their main objective is to taste he game lovers with different flavors. Gradually the competition in the gaming market is increasing and that results in developing of new game technologies. These gaming consoles include both wired and wireless controllers for the players.

Microsoft stepped ahead and designed new generation gaming console accessory named Kinect, which doesn’t require any controllers to play games. This is scheduled to set out for game lovers in this Holiday season (Nov’2010). The Kinect have a depth sensing device includes an infrared projector combined with other sensor, that allows to see in 3Dimension. The range of sensing is adjustable and excludes the things present in the room. This device interprets us in the 3D format in the game. Kinect has the high-end gesture recognition, facial and voice recognition system. This can track up to six people and can play as multiplayers. We can connect to online through the Wi-Fi and can play with others around the world. The main advantage for Kinect is that player need not hold any of devices. It is an added accessory to Xbox and priced at 150$ in the selected stores.

As expected Apple releasing all is IPod models in September, It also launched IPod Touch 4th generation in this September (2010). It made a few changes to its new generation IPod Touch. Apple applied all the new features of IPhone 4g like Face Time video calling, Retina display, HD video, front camera, etc. It also updated its IOS4 software and added multi tasking feature. The game center is the new feature that came out with IOS4. Face Time video calling feature is the most appealing feature of the new model. Music and entertainment are the main features of the new generation IPod Touch. It is available in 8GB, 32GB, AND 64GB versions. Apple increased the cost of IPod 8GB Touch by 28$. It is available from 229$ in the Apple online stores and in other retail stores.

Once again it’s the time for the American President, Mr. Barack Obama, to visit Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. The White House in Washington D.C scheduled his tour in November 2010 to open the newly built American Consulate at Hyderabad. Mr. K. Rosaiah, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh would take the privilege of interacting with the President. Unlike the other American Presidents, Mr. Barack Obama visited India before also. He visited the families of his college friends in India and Pakistan for three weeks in 1981. Obama believes in Indian God Lord Hanuman and he also carried His idol with him in the presidential campaign 2008. The Indian people are also very much excited about the forthcoming Obama’s visit to India. The Information Technology (IT) development is the major factor for the bonding between American Presidents and Andhra Pradesh. It will be the third time of American President visiting Hyderabad in this decade, 2000-2010. Hyderabad takes the competitive advantage among other big cities of India in attracting the American Presidents with its resources. It is hopeful that the White House staff would make the American president’s visit to Hyderabad mandatory in the future which in turn would enhance the Information Technology to flourish in Hyderabad.

On 3rd March, 2006, Air Force One landed in the Heart of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. The American President, Mr. George Bush and the first lady, Laura Bush arrived in Hyderabad. Mr. Y.S. Raja Shekar Reddy, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, greeted the couple and accompanied them. The President met rural handloom weavers and asked about their lifestyle. The President explored National Seed Project at Acharya N G Ranga University, Hyderabad. They also visited the Indian School of Business (ISB) and interacted with the business students and young entrepreneurs. They discussed about the strategic roles to be played by the two countries, India and U.S.A in the future. Mr. Bush said “Yes” to the opening of new American Consulate, a much awaited dream of the people of Andhra Pradesh. The President understood the demands of the public and Non- Resident Indians in opening a new consulate at Hyderabad. The first lady, Laura Bush, attended social awareness programs with the local people of the state.

The President of the United States of America visited South India for the first time in the history. The American President, Mr. Bill Clinton made a visit to Hyderabad, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, the 400 year historic city. It was the time when Hyderabad was transforming itself into an Information and Technological hub with the Fortune 500 companies. Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, accompanied and interacted with the President about the development of technology. A seminar was held in the Hi-Tech City on the theme “India & USA: Leaders in Science &Technology”. The projects like Janmabhoomi (a social welfare program), establishment of Indian Institute of Information and Technology (IIIT) and Indian School of Business (ISB) were also discussed. Techies were happy in their efforts of attracting the American President.

As said by me in the previous posts that Twitter became popular in India, today it thought a lesson for the politicians to be true. Mr. Shashi Tharoor, Union Minister of state for External Affairs, Government of India, resigned from the ministry after his allegations of misusing the power is made on him. He is the first Indian politician to tweet his personals and political matters on Twitter and broke the silence. He is controversial all the time with his tweets and also brought headaches to the government. The allegations made on him by Mr. Lalith Modi, Chief of Indian Premier League came initially on Twitter. Finally Twitter sealed the Ministry of Mr. Tharoor.

This is the thought that Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple got a few years back. Apple always stands for its different nature. Early from the history, Apple maintained that difference and that difference protected the Apple from going to other mouths. It created its own machine, own operating system (Macintosh), own applications for its Mac lovers. It gave a strong competition to market leaders by bringing sweat out of them. Slowly it changed the track towards music from computing and introduced I-Pod and I-Tunes. It changed the entire music industry by selling individual songs from album for 99 cents rather than buying the entire album. It launched I-Phone and captured the mobile market with its distinctive features rather than calling. The latest release is I-Pad, which fills the gap between smart phone and a laptop, Apple sold 300,000 in a day. The 9.7 inch touch screen allows you to do all the things which you want. Coming attractions by Apple are really mind-blowing. It is on the way to develop a new processor, new ad-revenue system, without depending on others. The secret is that Apple focused on developing its own hardware rather than software applications. This is the beauty of Apple and also the fear of biting the Apple by someone is making it successful.
