Twitter became popular in India 04/12/2010
![]() © Twitter Inc Twitter, the famous name for micro blogging is recently gaining the hearts of Indians. As 3-G services began in India by selling spectrum to the cellular companies by the government, the celebrities started to use twitter on mobiles to connect with their fans. The Indian movie stars, politicians, sport champions, became addicted to using Twitter, and their fans ran mad by becoming their followers and re-tweeting the messages. Facebook took much time to steal the hearts of Indians rather than Twitter. It also becomes a good tool for all the promotions of products, events. Funny conversations, jokes, teasing between celebrities are becoming the news for the websites and newspapers. MTV is the largest followed brand in India on Twitter and Sharuk Khan is on top with more followers. I say that Twitter is successful due to its short and easy way of communication. No complex controls like sending a request and accepting a request are used. Just follow whomever you like in this world. Add Comment Leader Movie 03/19/2010
![]() © AVM Productions A good inspirational movie seen in Telugu after a long time. The movie is based on a political drama which is worth watching. It reflects the politics in Andhra Pradesh and even in some parts of India. Shekar Kammula, the director of the movie presented the issues in a realistic way. The songs and back ground score set by Mickey J Mayer takes you to the peak level. The songs “Vandemataram” and “Maa Telugu Talliki” are chartbusters. The basic plot of the story is gripping excluding some part of love story. I basically liked the director way of telling the differences between a politician and a leader. The dialogues in the movie are very straight forward and sharp as a sword. Overall the movie is Idealistic and makes you think about the current issues like corruption in the government. Debutant actor Rana Daggubati did a good job and production values of AVM are excellent. I thank Shekar for delivering a good movie without any bloodshed to the Telugu people. I can say with confidence Leader movie will bag the maximum Nandi awards for the year 2010. I have seen this in Atlanta Big Cinemas. Hyundai Plant - World's Most Advanced Plant 03/19/2010
![]() © Hyundai Motor Company USA As a part of my course work, I have been to visit Hyundai Auto Manufacturing plant in Montgomery Alabama. It was a huge car manufacturing plant which manufactures two models, the Sonata and Santa Fe. Chung Mong-Koo, Chairman of Hyundai invested $1.4 billion for this plant. It had its land break on 12th April 2002 and opened in May 2005. It is widely spread on 1744 acres of land with stamping facility, welding, painting, engine shop and a two mile race track for testing. Nearly 2700 people are employed to produce 1200 cars per day. Hyundai means modern in Korean. Hyundai contributed to numerous donations to organizations from 2006. The 45 minute tour starts from the stamping shop where the base individual parts are made like doors, roof and body. They are moved to a welding shop by a conveyer belt. Everything is automated here with robots. Robot takes 45 seconds for each car to weld its parts. After welding, the car moves to the painting shop. Hyundai uses eco friendly elements in the paints and apply it with robots. It is resistant to all daily used chemicals and with stand with all types of climate conditions. Finally, the engine, dashboard, seats and all accessories are fixed and go to testing in the 2, mile race court. Quality is checked in every step from starting. Now the vehicle is ready to serve the customers. 65% of the parts are brought from Seoul and assembled here. Hyundai uses the just in time manufacturing process. It says that the success lies within the happiness of the employees. It is the world’s most advanced automotive plant. I enjoyed this tour. You too can plan for the tour by visiting its website. Enjoy these cool videos of the plant http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umdhoQ7MrpA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xox5Ot1zkgw Hyderabad Idea to be implemented in New York 03/19/2010
What is this idea that is being implemented in New York? It’s interesting to know about this. The concept of share auto principle is to be implemented in yellow New York cabs. I remembered many share autos starting from ESI to Lingampalli in Hyderabad. It carries 8 – 10 people at a time and you have to travel with some strangers to save some time, rather than waiting for a bus. It was a successful Idea in Hyderabad, everywhere in Andhra Pradesh and other states of India. Now it is being implemented in New York’s busy streets and downtown. Many of the locals find this to be an interesting way to save a few bucks. Some say it’s a way to increase crime rate in the city by sharing a cab with a stranger in the streets of New York. Irrespective of their advantages and disadvantages, the idea is implemented. Let’s see how it works. Something is happening around us….. 03/08/2010
Have you felt this something is happening around us? I mean something is happening in the world. This is about the series of earthquakes that hit this world in this year 2010. We completed only 2 months in this year and we heard about many disastrous earthquakes. The first major quake hit the Haiti in January, followed by quakes in Japan, Chile, and Afghanistan. There is a huge human and property loss in all these countries. It takes many years to rebuild the economy. Tsunami alerts are also given to the coastal regions of the countries in pacific regions. There are more minor quakes recorded on the seismic scale in many countries. The earth axis also changed. The day became 1.26 microseconds shorter, according to the calculations of the scientists in NASA. This happened due to the changes in distribution of mass. Did you remember the tsunami that hit India in 2004? This happened due to the quake in Indonesia and shortened the day by 6.8 micro seconds. One Interesting thing is that Gorges Reservoir in China holds 10 trillion gallons of water. If the entire reservoir is filled, there will be a huge shift in the mass. So the day would be lengthened by 0.06 micro seconds. This is an interesting time for geologists to grad some unknown information. So by all these incidents we can infer that something is happening around us. May be 2012??? I don’t think so. We can’t do anything even if it happens. Let’s hope for some good. Really, it is strange to hear that. Me too. I thought that Nobel prizes were only given to people. Strangely, the Internet was nominated for that. It is the first non-human to receive this honor. I saw from my childhood whenever it was time for a debate; the topics that come first in our minds (in India) are “Arranged Marriage Vs. Love Marriage”, “Internet – Boon or Curse”. We are still deciding whether the internet is a boon or a curse. But the Internet proved that it is a basic requirement and can change the human DNA. I would feel happy to nominate the Internet for world peace. There are also controversies that the internet also promotes destruction along with peace. I think the usage of the internet is in our hands, rather than blaming the internet for promoting destruction. I can say one thing for certain is that it strongly revolutionized the planet and helped billions. I am also eagerly waiting for the results. Last year it was given to Barrack Obama "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples." Hi Friends 03/07/2010
